On October 8, 1952 I was born to Lois and OD Lawrence, two great parents who showed my 3 brothers and me Christ's love at a very early age. We were very much involved in our church, Holt Baptist. I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Holt High School and received my BS degree from the U of A in Dec. 1975. I began my teaching career in January, 1976 teaching 2nd grade at Brookwood Elem. in Tuscaloosa County. I taught in the same room until May 2005, when I retired. However, my love for teaching brought me out of retirement and in August, 2005 I began teaching at ACA, 3rd grade. I have two daughters, both married. I have a stepdaughter and stepson, both married. Bobby and I have two precious grandsons and I am blessed to have them attending ACA. In January,2010, we were blessed with a granddaughter. We are members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. My hobbies are photography, scrapbooking, reading, and spending as much time as possible with my family, especially those grandchildren!
