Josie Smelley
2nd Grade
Hello!! My name is Josie Smelley. I have had a busy and wonderful summer! I got married on July 10, 2010, graduated from the University of Alabama where I received a BS in Early Childhood Education and I have been getting my room ready to teach second grade!!
My husband (Chris) and I dated all through high school and both graduated from ACA in 2006. I attended the University of South Carolina for two and a half years where I studied Early Childhood Education before returing to Tuscaloosa to finish my degree.
I have a heart and passion for young children. I have known since I was a little girl that I wanted to teach. I feel so blessed to be a part of the school that has been so dear to me since the 8th grade!
I have a heart for missions, international or local. My favorite vacation spot is Grayton Beach, FL! I enjoy spending time with my husband and my family. I have two younger brothers, Fields and Parker and an older sister, Edie who is married and lives in Nashville.
I am so excited about teaching Second Grade and having the opportunity to impact the lives of young children!
