Ramona January
4th Grade
I was born in Montgomery, Alabama but grew up in Wetumpka, a small town just outside of Montgomery. After graduating from Wetumpka High School, I moved to Tuscaloosa to attend college. I have two children, Will and Forrest. Will graduated from ACA in May of 2011 and Forrest will be starting his junior year. I enjoy cooking, reading, horseback riding, hunting, and spending time with my family. One personal goal I have set for myself is to learn something new each day. I attend Mt Olive Baptist Church with my family.
In 2000, Forrest entered Mrs. Rush’s Kindergarten class here at ACA. Our family quickly came to love ACA. Will came to ACA in the 4th grade. I believe that finding ACA was part of God’s plan to help me to understand that I was living by my personal plans and not the plans that God had for me. God opened tons of doors for me to be able to finish my degree with all my tuition paid. I received my degree in Elementary Education in May of 2004 from the University of Alabama. In August 2004, I was given the opportunity to teach 2nd grade here at ACA. I taught 2nd grade for 3 years before moving up to the 4th grade in 2007.
