P.E.

/files/Staff Folder/elementary/004.JPGI was born and raised in Tuscaloosa.  I graduated from the University
of Alabama in 1985 with a degree in Physical Education, K-12.  I taught PE for 3 years and then went back to school to get my elementary certification.  I have taught a total of 15 years in Tuscaloosa, at Briarwood Christian in Birmingham, and in Mississippi, teaching PE, and 4th, 5th, and 6th grades in the classroom.

I have been married for 20 years to Mark, who teaches in the music
department at Shelton State.  I have a daughter, Meredith, who is in
8th grade and a son, John Mark, who is in 3rd grade.  I am very
thankful for my family.

I was blessed to be born into a Christian home. At age 9, I trusted
Jesus as my Savior and continue to be thankful for all that Christ did
for me on the cross.  It is because of my love for Him and out of
appreciation for all He has done for me that I want to share my faith
and what it means to live that out with my students here at ACA.  I am
thankful for ACA and the ministry it has to my family and look forward
to seeing God work in the lives of our students.
