There is not a grade for AR until the final report card for the school year.
However, to participate in extracurricular activities students must meet certain requirements. The grade you see on FACTS (RenWeb) is a “progress” grade. If you click on the grade, you will be able to view the number of points you currently have on the next page.
Students should still be striving for a high AR grade every 9 weeks. This will benefit the students at the end of the school year when the total number of points is due.
AR points on FACTS are updated each weekend.

Athletics & Extracurricular Activities for AR

AR follows the rule of all other classes at ACA. By the end of the 3-week grace period, the students must have a ‘D’ in order to participate.

Middle School (7th & 8th) athletes and students involved in extracurricular activities should have at least a total of 24 points by August 29th.
High School (9th-12th) athletes and students involved in extracurricular activities should have at least a total of 27 points by August 29th.
**These points are equivalent to a ‘D’. If the student does not have these points, they are benched until they reach that amount. **

The above amount is the minimum and I want to encourage students to reach a goal higher than the minimum. If the students were to get at least this suggested amount of points every 9 weeks:
Middle School = 40 points
High School = 45 points
By the end of the school year, they will have a 100 grade for AR. This will help their GPA!

For future note, the grace period dates and the required AR points for each date for the rest of the 2022-2023 school year for students involved in all sports and extracurricular activities are found on the right side of this page.
