Accelerated Reading begins in 1st grade at ACA and is continued until 12th grade for most students. Each grade is required to earn a different amount of points. AR points do not start "rolling over" into the following term until 3rd grade, however, AR points do NOT roll over into the next school year for any grade. Please see each grade level's information below. You may contact your child's reading teacher if your child is in elementary school, or all parents may contact Mrs. Sprayberry for any AR or Library related questions.

AR Grades

The grade you see on FACTS is a “progress” grade. If you click on the grade, you will be able to view the number of points you currently have on the next page. Students should still be striving for a high AR grade each 9 weeks. This will benefit the students at the end of the school year when the total number of points are due.
AR points on FACTS are updated each weekend.
There is not a grade for AR until the final report card for the school year. However, to participate in extracurricular activities students must meet certain requirements.
