ACA Fall Sports

ACA offers several sports opportunities in the Fall! We have competitive teams that strive for their best, on and off the field. Our Fall sports include: Bowling, Cross Country, Football, and Volleyball.

End-of-Year Results:

Our ACA Fall Sports had very successful seasons and post-seasons. Here are the Highlights:

Bowling - Congratulations to our 2022-23 ACA Girl's Bowling team, winning back-to-back State Championships a couple of weeks ago in Gadsden! Our Boy's Bowling team also made it to the State Finals, finishing in 6th place. This is such an amazing accomplishment for both teams, since they were moved up under the Competitive Balance guidelines by the AHSAA.

Cross Country - Coach Charles Tiller and the ACA Cross Country teams (Boys & Girls) competed in the AHSAA State Championships this past Saturday in Moulton, Alabama. Because of our recent program success, and under the state's Competitive Balance rules, ACA competed in 5A this season (even though our actual school size is 4A). The Girls team finished very strongly in 8th place overall in the state, and the ACA Boys WON the State Championship in 5A! The guys had a lot to overcome in order to claim the title, defeating 6-time defending state champion Scottsboro!

Football

Volleyball - Coach Hannah Acton and the 2022 ACA Varsity Volleyball team followed up their Area Championship by competing in the Super Regionals in Montgomery earlier this week. They swept their first opponent, Slocomb High School (3-0), but fell to a very strong Trinity Presbyterian team in the second match. Congratulations to the ACA Varsity Volleyball team on their Area Title, and on a tremendous year!
